Position Description:

CGI is looking for a User Experience (UX) professional to join our Federal Business Unit to support our Security, Administrative, Judicial, and Enforcement (SAJE) Programs team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced team environment supporting the Library of Congress. Be part of our Agile team developing modern web applications using open source technologies. We are seeking multiple candidates at different levels of experience. Positions are not yet funded.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Develop user stories, wireframes, and specifications for application development

• Utilize a User Centered Design approach to develop personas, site maps, and user interface diagrams to illustrate the layout, flow, and organization of web applications

• Develop strategies to improve the usability, performance, and effectiveness of user interfaces

• Facilitate usability testing and help determine how best to integrate findings into the site architecture and user interface

• Participate in Agile team processes such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Experience with Visual Design and user experience concepts that strike a balance between usability of web applications and aesthetic appeal

• Experience assessing business requirements, developing user stories, and preparing UI diagrams including flows, wireframes, and sitemaps

• Experience with user test planning including creation of usability test plans, test cases, and specifications

• Strong knowledge of widely accepted UX design tools such as Axure, Adobe CC, Balsamiq, Sketch, and InVision

• Knowledge of accessibility guidelines and best practices for Section 508, WGAC 2.0, and ARIA

• Experience working with Agile development teams

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Desired qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree

• Understanding of Responsive Design and supporting frameworks such as BootStrap

• Experience with metrics analysis for tracking and analyzing user behavior trends to provide recommendations for UI/UX improvements

• Understanding of frontend technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, and AJAX

• Experience supporting social media and blog functionality

• Experience working with GitHub, Jira, Jenkins, Selenium, WordPress

• Experience working on Federal applications
